As a boss-certified holiday destination, it doesn’t get much better than the south coast of France.

Whether you’re travelling to Nice, Cannes, Monaco or a villa in the hills, the Cote d’Azur is a great place to spend the summer.

And with Nice airport being just over a 90 minute flight from London, the region is certainly very accessible.

Having said that, one thing that has always frustrated us is the transport options to travel from Nice airport into the city centre.

For such a simple 10 minute drive along the Promenade Des Anglais we’ve always thought the 40 euro taxi fare was extortionate. Yes you could catch the bus for a couple of euros – but given our focus on upgrading your world, we’d rather not pursue that option.

The good news for all is that Uber has arrived in Nice and it has changed the transport landscape completely.

Upon arrival, simply login to the free wifi at Nice airport, open the Uber app and book a ride to your destination. For a great price of around 1416 euros, you’ll get a smooth ride into the centre of town in no time at all.

We used Uber Nice on a recent trip and were very impressed with the service. After ordering our car, our driver met us outside Joe and the Juice at Terminal 1 within minutes.

Our UberX car was a plush Mercedes E class and our driver spoke fluent English – making the trip both easy and enjoyable.

We used Uber several other times during the trip and found the service to be convenient and great value at all times.

So next time you touch down at Nice Airport, skip the regular taxi queue and don’t hesitate to use Uber Nice to travel on the Cote D’Azur.
